Hi
So my name is Sara and I am on my way to becoming a New York City certified teacher. At the moment, I am a substitute teacher in the city, which is an adventure in its own right. I have worked in schools that are extremely different from the ones I have grown up in and have learned a lot about different types of students and school philosophies. I have lived in New York my whole life and I love this city more than any other place I have ever been to. However, I do not think I am ready to settle down in one place just yet. My dream is to travel and live all over the world and experience and learn as much as I can so I can become a better teacher and overall person. My journey will begin soon, as I have applied and gotten into a program to spend a year teaching English in South Korea. In this blog, I will chronicle my adventures, discuss what I have learned, what I have done, and what I wish to do in the future in the hopes that other dreamers and travelers can read and learn about how to both travel and teach in a foreign country.
